Our goal is to make every dog’s stay with us as comfortable as possible. Each dog is assigned his or her own kennel, given ample bedding & access to water at all times. We require that you provide enough food for your dog’s stay, along with any medications they may need while here. We will feed your dog according to instructions that you provide us at the time of drop off. We are more than happy to give your
dog treats as well, so bring them along! Just remember that they must be safe! (We do not give rawhides!)
Boarding drop offs and pick ups are at scheduled appointment times. In order to ensure the safety of our clients (human and canine alike), we ask that you please be on time for your appointment. If a conflict should arise, please call our office to reschedule.
* Medications, Ear, and Eye care will be an additional charge.

DAY CARE SERVICES
In addition to boarding dogs for overnight stays, we also offer day care three days a week. (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.) Dogs are dropped off in the morning and picked up later that evening. While here, boarded and day care dogs alike enjoy play groups four times a day.
We offer day care Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Clients may chose how many and which days they would like to utilize our day care services. For space considerations, we encourage you to come consistently on the same day(s) every week.
For the purpose of day care only, the office is open from 7:00 AM – 9 AM for drop offs, and pick ups from 4:15 PM - 6 PM. No scheduled appointment time is necessary for day care.
All dogs have the opportunity to play outside of their kennels four times a day. The length of each session depends on the weather conditions, but range anywhere from 15 – 30 minutes each time. Our ultimate goal is to integrate each dog into one of our play groups.
We typically divide the dogs into groups that are compatible with each other based on size and level of socialization. As the number and types of dogs boarding are constantly changing, so do the groups.
New dogs are slowly integrated into the play group environment. This is accomplished by introducing a new dog to others one at a time until we are satisfied that the new dog is comfortable in this setting.
Play groups are videotaped daily so that you can watch how your dog has progressed while enjoying their stay at Colonial Kennels!
Dogs that are not quite ready for the play group setting enjoy their time here as well! We will always try to find another dog that they are compatible with and allow them to play with each other. If that is not possible, then they will enjoy time out in the yard by themselves with us, as their friends!
